Spooky Writing Contest: Home

• This story writing contest will run September 30 through October 18, 2022.  All writing must be submitted by October 18 at 11:59pm.
• Contest is open to current students, faculty, and staff of Sweet Briar College.
• Two winners will be selected:  one student, and one faculty/staff member.
• The winning student will receive a prize; the winning faculty/staff member will get bragging rights. 
• Both winning stories will be circulated on our social media pages unless the winner opts not to have it posted.
• Your piece must be no longer than 1 page or 250 words and must be based on or inspired by the photos below.
• When submitting your writing, please provide the number of the photograph you used as your inspiration.
• Please submit to library@sbc.edu with the subject "Writing Contest Submission."

The winner will get this "Reading Spooky Stories in Bed" prize package!  A Sweet Briar College mug, a rechargeable booklight, hot cocoa mix, three cocoa bombs, and a big bag of marshmallows!
