Finding children's books in the Mary Helen Cochran Library collections

The Kellogg Collection of Chidren's Books

The Mezzanine level of the Mary Helen Cochran Library houses the Kellogg Collection of children's books. This collection is designed to support Sweet Briar College's education classes, and to educate and entertain children connected to Sweet Briar students, staff, and faculty.

Library Resources

How to Find Children's Books

  1. From the library's home page, go to the COLLECTIONS link on the top menu, and choose LIBRARY CATALOG (LION).
  2. On the top right of the next page choose ADVANCED SEARCH.
  3. Near the bottom of the next page click the boxes for SWEET BRIAR COLLEGE and CHILDREN'S LITERATURE.
  4. Enter your search terms at the top of the page and then click the ADVANCED SEARCH button at the bottom.
  5. On the left, under COLLECTION, click on KELLOGG LIBRARY.
  6. Click on a title to get the call number for each book. 
  7. All children's books are shelved in the Kellogg Collection on the Mezzanine Level.
